Context
Crypto terminals and equity terminals do not sit in the same room. A trader watching ether next to a listed share ends up in four tabs, each inventing its own language. Aggregators rewrite headlines. Models write “analysis” that is not attached to a print. When a source fails, the page still shows a number — just not a real one.
Architecture
Four rooms, two clocks. ETH, UNI, and LINK are continuous dollar pairs. BMNR is a cash-session equity: last print when the market is closed, session change when it is open. Weekends drop out of any correlation pair that includes the share. That is treated as a data fact, not a display preference.
Ingest is explicit and cached. Token quotes and charts come from CoinGecko. The share quote and intraday bars come from CNBC; daily history from Nasdaq. Chain TVL, protocol TVL, fees, and DEX volume come from DefiLlama. A failed source surfaces as an error on that room. The desk does not invent a print to keep the layout pretty.
The overlay chart rebases the last 90 daily closes to 100. The pair table is Pearson correlation on overlapping daily returns — the number, not a vibe. Headlines are pulled from outlet RSS and Google News, filtered to named wires, stripped of market-noise titles, and linked back unchanged. Official feeds (Ethereum Foundation) stay marked as official.
Implementation
One tape, four rooms
The home board is ETH/USD, UNI/USD, LINK/USD, and BMNR. Each card carries pair, last price, session or 24h change, a spark, and the source name. Open a room for the range chart and the rail of ATH, 52-week, volume, and supply facts that belong to that asset class.
Desk note from the quote
The sentence under the price is a function of last, session state, day/week divergence, and distance to ATH or the 52-week high. It is not an LLM paragraph. The page says so.
Do they move together
Trailing 90-day daily-return correlation, only on days both series printed. Fewer than fifteen overlapping sessions and the pair stays blank. The table is the number. The overlay is the picture.
Headlines that stay attributed
The tape does not rewrite a title. Google News items that are not from a trusted wire are dropped. Options-chain noise, price predictions, and chart-widget titles never land. Click-through goes to the outlet.
Non-negotiables
Not a broker and not advice
No wallet, no order ticket, no alert that pretends to be a recommendation. The desk is for reading prints and other people’s words.
No invented numbers
If CoinGecko, CNBC, Nasdaq, or DefiLlama does not answer, that panel says so. A stale cache can hold a recent good fetch. It cannot fabricate a last price.
Third-party quotes and headlines. Not investment advice. Island Intel does not execute, custody, or recommend a trade from this desk.
